Ice is big business the galaxy over, with millions making their living by providing it to the thirsty masses of the galaxy. Every ship, colony and individual needs fresh water. The ice world of Khione IV is one source. VarunaCorp maintains an extensive ice mining presence on the planet making use of space elevator to move large chunks of ice to orbit, there to be hauled off by freighters across the galaxy. A problem with the elevator requires special mechanical skills to repair, and the crew has been tasked with delivering the mechanic and ensuring his safe return. Something that is waking deep in the ice of Khione IV has other plans however...
